Superyacht Berthage and Support
Port Nikau welcomes superyachts and has established facilities to accommodate superyachts up to 120m. On arrival, the Whangarei Harbour channel is 7.6m deep and well lit. markers start 3 miles out from the harbour entrance.
Port Nikau has multiple Superyacht berths, ranging from 31m to 90m. On arrival, the Whangarei Harbour channel is dredged to 7.6 metres, is well lit and markers start 3 miles out from the harbour mouth. The newly built floating pontoon is set up for stern-to, Mediterranean style berthage and can cater for three vessels up to 65 metres. The depth at the pontoon is 5.5 metres, with pontoon space for storing crew tenders to allow the crew to make the most of after-work water activities. Download our Berthage Pricing here.
Wharves, Office and Workshop
Port Nikau has over 5,000 square metres of wharf space available to set up container workshops and service masts up to 60m long. A crew/tradesman lunchroom is available for visitors to use.
To complement the ultimate refit facility, Port Nikau has a captain’s office and the Q-shed available to lease. The Q-Shed is a 100m2 workshop with a high stud and full access doors and is equipped with a 2-ton gantry.
Wharf facilities, known as ‘H Berth’ provide accommodation for superyachts up to 120m and has a depth of 6m.
Shore power 250 and 125 amps hard-wired and high-speed fibre internet to the vessel is available.
